Copyright Policy and Repeat Infringer Policy

Vera Monet LLC (“Vera Monet”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Vera Monet Services to do the same. This Copyright Policy supplements Section 14 of our Terms of Use.

1. DMCA Notification and Counter-Notification

Notification and Counter-Notification procedures for alleged copyright infringement are set out in Section 14 of our Terms of Use, available at veramonet.com/terms. Notifications and Counter-Notifications must be sent to the Designated Copyright Agent identified below.

2. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(1)(A), Vera Monet has adopted and will reasonably implement a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.

Receipt of two (2) or more valid DMCA Notifications regarding a single user’s Contributions or other content within any twelve (12)-month period will be considered grounds for termination.

Vera Monet may also terminate any account at any time based on a single egregious instance of infringement or based on the totality of the circumstances.

3. Standard Technical Measures

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(1)(B), Vera Monet accommodates and does not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works, as those measures are defined in 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(2).

Knowingly submitting a false DMCA Notification or false Counter-Notification may subject the submitter to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including costs and attorneys’ fees.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Copyright Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above will be revised when material changes are made.
