The Philosophy

Luxury wedding planning and design with a polished, intentional aesthetic rooted in Charleston style.

Tight Knot Events is a Charleston-based full service wedding planning, event design, and custom floral studio founded by Sara, a luxury events specialist with more than seven years in the industry and a decade of experience in business operations. The studio takes on a carefully limited number of clients each year, a deliberate choice that ensures every celebration receives the attention and craft it deserves.

Sara's approach is rooted in the belief that the finest events are built through relationships rather than transactions. As a Charleston local, she has spent years cultivating a network of trusted vendors who share her commitment to collaboration, mutual respect, and a genuine investment in the couples they serve. That network and the trust within it shape the quality of every event she produces.

What distinguishes Tight Knot Events is the integration of custom floral design directly into the planning process. Rather than treating florals as a separate vendor relationship, Sara weaves them into the overall aesthetic from the beginning, creating a cohesion that makes celebrations feel intentional rather than assembled. The result is a deeply personalized experience where design, logistics, and sensory detail, the scent, the sound, the texture of a moment, are considered together and executed as one.

The work is for couples who want something considered and completely their own. Sara brings both creative vision and operational precision to each engagement, managing every detail with care so the day itself unfolds without visible effort. Bold, beautiful, and built entirely around the people it celebrates. Three separate service offerings allow couples to choose what they need most: full service wedding planning & design, custom small batch floral design, and private events (engagement parties, gatherings, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, showers, ect.)

Commonly Asked

Our rate reflects the scale and scope of the project. We evaluate our rate by calculating 11 % of your total event & vendor spend. For example, if your event costs $100,000 overall, our rate is $11,000, paid across the months of planning leading up to the event. We offer dynamic payment plans, as well as a comprehensive cost to benefit ratio tool, allowing you to make informed decisions about large financial factors surrounding your event.

YES- we actually welcome that! Our team will guide you through the venue selection process. With a longstanding history of executing events at multiple area locations we can give you a true cost analysis of what your day would cost at each venue prior to ever booking them. The number listed in their brochure is just the venue price- not the actual cost of producing an event there.

14-16 months is ideal in our market. However, we have planned amazing events in 6 months or less- it is your journey and we are here with you no matter how far in advance!

We have 4 highly experienced event coordination assistants who are the backbone of our operation reporting up to our creative director, Sara. The hard work, sweat equity and dedication to detail our ladies pour into your big day is extraordinary. Think of us as your bridal besties!
