The Philosophy

Refined wedding photography with a polished, story-driven style rooted in Charlotte and crafted for destination celebrations.

William Avery Photography is a Charlotte-based team specializing in wedding photography and film, serving couples locally and traveling wherever the celebration takes them. What began as a solo practice in 2015 has grown into a full creative studio: an associate photography team, a dedicated group of filmmakers, and an operations lead, Jessica Longino, whose care and attention have been central to how the studio serves its clients today.

The approach is rooted in honesty rather than performance. The team creates a relaxed, unhurried environment where couples can simply be themselves, and the work reflects that. Candid, unguarded, real. The images that tend to matter most are rarely the posed ones, and that shapes how William Avery Photography moves through a wedding day, whether it is a traditional celebration in Charlotte or an elopement on the other side of the world.

Photography and film are offered together, bringing both a still and moving record to the moments that deserve to be kept.
